Course Information

Following on from our 1st webinar  COVID-19 x Charnley: conservative management of orthopaedic injuries,  we are excited to bring you this follow-up session.

Many fractures have been treated either non-operatively or with the minimum possible fixation during this pandemic, and we have not been able to treat certain fractures in the way that we would normally practice.

Additionally, many fracture patients who would have usually presented to our services have stayed at home and the burden of this neglected trauma is unknown at present, but could be sizeable. This is expected to have a significant impact on the provision of orthopaedic care into the second half of 2020, and beyond.

In this webinar we will be discussing what problems could arise, and how best to manage the fallout from this.

Join our panel who will be talking about the management of non-union, malunion, and deformity correction in this setting, and how best to prepare for the incoming tsunami of delayed trauma.

Target audience: all orthopaedic practitioners, from consultants/attending grades through to surgical trainees, PAs, nurse specialists and plaster technicians.
