This is a 23yrs scaffolder, who fell through a roof and landed on a metal railing below. It is a closed, neurovascularly intact, isolated injury. Soft tissues are good and he is a fit young dude. A CT confirms some medial comminution but no extension into the joint
The operating surgeon treats him with a lateral locking plate.
71 yrs lady, tripped over uneven paving. Independent ambulator without aids. No problems with that TKR (10 yrs old) in the build-up. She is in good health with only minor co-morbidities. Closed, isolated injury.
29 yrs male, car vs tree at speed. This was an isolated, closed injury. Otherwise fit and well.
