Jayne Ward qualified from St Barts and the Royal London in 2002. She under took her surgical and orthopaedic training in the Severn Deanery.


She attended a trauma fellowship at the hospital for special surgery in New York, an AO fellowship at Groote Schuur in Cape Town and a reconstructive trauma fellowship at Queen Elizabeth, Birmingham. Since 2014 she has been an orthopaedic trauma consultant at University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire. Her main interest is open fractures.


She enjoys being AO chairperson for current concepts, working with Warwick Medical School and is current education chair for the Orthopaedic Trauma Society.Fun fact:


She once was a red tomato on the TV cookery show Ready Steady Cook. She lost the competition  but salvaged some pride by drinking a bottle of wine in 20mins!
