In this episode I saw with the #orthotwitter legend Dr Jennifer Weiss otherwise known as @mymomthesurgeon. Heralding from an orthopaedic family, we talk about her journey into orthopaedics and forging her own path during training into her current field of paediatric sports surgery. We talk about her time at UCLA with Dr. Skaggs and Dr. Tolo and how she balances what she describes as work-life integration, with a busy surgical practice, family life and other responsibilities. We talk about physician burnout and wellness, how it manifests, the warning signs and how to prevent it and the importance of improving diversity in orthopaedics for both females and minorities. We also talk about protecting the assets of sleep and exercise, and how she keeps involved with the #skeletoncrew on @PelotonPods. Please share with all of those who woudl be interested and see you again on the first Sunday of next month! Please share, like, tweet @paedipods #ThePaedipodsCast.
