Mike is passionate about technology, education and orthopaedics. Mix that with a few like minded orthopaedic surgeons and you get orthohub!

Mike has been involved in digital innovation and created the FRCSOrtho website after gaining his Fellowship exams to the Royal College of Surgeons.

Mike is currently on fellowship at the Royal Bournemouth Hospital focusing on foot and ankle surgery, having been awarded the BOFAS travelling fellowship in foot and ankle surgery in 2019.

Prior to this he was working with the trauma team at the Royal London Hospital having sucessfully navigate the paperwork and politics required to get an Out of Program for Training placement organised.

Mike completed his registrar training across the East of England, his core training in Kent, Surrey and Sussex, and his junior and medical school training in Liverpool. Mike also has a postgraduate certificate in medical education (PgCert Med Ed).

Mike is interested in major trauma, limb reconstruction and foot and ankle surgery.

Mike enjoys running, cycling and skiing.  Mike has two young children (Beatrice and Rupert) and is exceptionally grateful for the patience his wife displays when he is forever coming up with new ideas for projects!
