I am a professor in trauma and Orthopaedics at Hull York medical school, University of Hull. I am a consultant orthopaedic surgeon at Hull University teaching hospitals, where I lead a tertiary unit in Limb reconstruction and bone infections.
I had my initial training in India and further training in Newcastle and the Yorkshire region. I did my limb reconstruction fellowship at Belfast.
I am keen researcher and working on developing PROMS for limb reconstruction and Chief Investigator for the ACTIVE study - an international multi-centre trial Pilon fractures. I am recipient of total research grants worth over £3.5 million.
I travel extensively within the UK and internationally, delivering lectures and teaching at various courses, national meeting and world congresses. I run internationally renowned deformity course in Hull.
I am; president elect for British Limb reconstruction society (BLRS) and Europe director for World association against infections in orthopaedics and trauma WAIOT.
I like reading, travelling and playing Tennis and Cricket.
