Nick qualified from St. Barts and the Royal London School of Medicine in 2001. He undertook his early post-graduate training in London and at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital, Stanmore, before completing his senior Orthopaedic training in the Oxford deanery.
He was awarded the Oxford Hand Surgery Fellowship and benefited from visiting fellowships to the Mayo Clinic and the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York. He obtained the Diploma in Hand Surgery from Manchester University in 2016 and was subsequently appointed as a Consultant Hand and Wrist Surgeon at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Trust.
He is currently the Clinical and Information Governance Lead for hand and wrist surgery, an Assigned Educational Supervisor for two orthopaedic higher specialist trainees and a consultant appraiser. At a national level he is a member of the Education and Training Committee of the British Society for Surgery of the Hand, and internationally a member of the Relationship and Subspecialties Committee of the Federation of European Societies for Surgery of the Hand.
