Dr. Camila B. R. De Mattos has a degree in medicine from Universidade Federal Fluminense, Brazil and did her medical residency in Orthopedics at INTO, the National Institute of Traumatology and Orthopedics, Brazil. She did a research fellowship in pediatric orthopedics at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, PA, USA, a surgical fellowship in pediatric orthopedics at Shriners Hospital for Children in Portland, OR, USA and a surgical fellowship in orthopaedic oncology at the Washington Hospital Center in Washington, DC, USA and Children's National Medical Center, Washington, DC, USA.
She is currently part of the orthopaedic oncology department at the Skåne University Hospital, affiliated with the University of Lund and Malmö, Sweden.
She is the founder and first president of AMOB, the Association of Women in Orthopaedics of Brazil and a founding member of WOW, Women of Orthopaedics Worldwide.
