Have successfully managed and grown a professional medical workforce with achievement of ever increasing metrics and streamlined care. Can manage up or down with skill and ease. Understand and live and thrive in the unsettled and complex current healthcare climate. I use a combination of standardization and innovation to achieve goals and interdependence to realize new horizons.

I am the Regional Assistant Medical Director in the Business Management Line for Retail Strategy in the Southern California Permanente Medical Group (SCPMG). I work to help oversee the Target Clinics operated by Kaiser Permanente (KP) as well as many other duties. I am also the southern California Regional Orthopaedic Chief with responsibility for orthopaedic clinical care in all of SCAL KP, in collaboration with 13 different Medical Center Ortho Chiefs. I am also now Inter-regional chief of Ortho for all the Regions of KP. I joined KP as an Orthopaedic Shoulder & Sports Medicine specialist in 1997 after a fellowship in shoulder surgery, arthroscopy, and sports medicine at University of Pittsburgh. I am a well published author in shoulder and knee surgery, and am an Active Member of the prestigious American Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons (ASES). I was honored to be appointed Member at Large of the Board of Directors of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS) from 2017 to 2019. I was the President of the California Orthopaedic Association (COA) for the 2019-2020 year. I was in the past also Assistant Area Medical Director overseeing all Surgical Services at my home Medical Center in South Bay for 9 years, after having been Chief of the Department of Orthopaedics at the same Kaiser Permanente South Bay Medical Center, for 8 years.
