Adam Watts is a Consultant Orthopaedic Elbow surgeon at Wrightington Hospital and Visiting Professor at the University of Manchester. He trained on fellowship in Adelaide, Australia and Wrightington, UK. His clinical and research interests include the treatment of degenerative joint disease, sports injury and trauma, with a focus on arthroscopic techniques and joint reconstruction. He works with a number of National sporting organisations.  Adam has over 130 publications in upper limb surgery, has contributed to national guidelines on wrist fractures, elbow arthroplasty and infection and is a designer of surgical techniques and implants.  He is a Speciality Editor for the Bone and Joint Journal and Shoulder and Elbow Journal, and sits on the Editorial Board for the National Joint Registry. Adam is an NIHR Grant award holder and a Research Lead at Wrightington, Wigan and Leigh Teaching Hospitals NHSFT. 

Adam lives in Lancashire with his family.

In his spare time Adam enjoys cycling, sailing and running.
