Mez Acharya is a young , enthusiastic, dynamic consultant orthopaedic trauma surgeon working in one of the busiest major trauma centres in the UK. His specialist interests include pelvic and acetabular trauma/ complex trauma and hip and knee reconstruction.

He spent one year subspecialsing in P&A trauma and then a further year in Australia subspecialsing in complex and revision arthroplasty. He has been in consultant practice over 10years. 

Mr Acharya is a keen teacher and trainer and won the prestigious award of Trainer of the year in 2014. He is currently deputy lead for surgical skills and simulation training in the severn region, UK.

Mez has published numerous articles in peer reviewed journals. He is faculty on numerous pelvic and acetabular courses including the prestigious Letournel course and the AO pelvic masters course UK. He is also co-convenor of the Bristol Hip Arthroplasty course. Mez lives in Bristol with his wife and two young daughters.
