Consultant Spinal Surgeon, Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital

I did my undergraduate degree at the University of the West Indies at home in Trinidad.I was on the East of England HST programme for orthopaedics and did spines in Norwich, Ipswich and Brisbane, Australia. I won the Walter Mercer Gold medal for the FRCS (Tr and Orth) exam in 2004 and am currently an examiner. I coordinate spinal teaching for the EoE Orthopaedic training programme.

I was appointed consultant at NNUH in 2006. My practice includes spinal degenerative disorders, metastatic spinal tumours, spinal column infection, spinal trauma and adult and paediatric deformity. My current research interest is in the long-term outcomes following cauda equina syndrome.
