Course Information

In these times of uncertainty we would like to offer you some practical and emotional help, support and encouragement with this webinar – presented by:

We live in unprecedented times. Our colleagues on the front line have found themselves in situations that just a few months ago would have seemed unimaginable. There’s a perception that, as orthopaedic surgeons, we haven’t been affected as much. But of course it has affected us, almost overnight and the impact on us as individuals and as a group is being widely felt right now, but perhaps less spoken about.

Underneath the strong, effective, and ambitious stereotype, we are also human beings still trying to make sense of it all!

You may be interested in coming along to this webinar for yourself, or it may be that you are interested because you’d like to learn how to support others around you, such as colleagues, peers, or family members. Either way, we look forward to welcoming you along.

Almost every aspect of work and life is having to adapt and change, often on a daily basis, and with no real sense of when ‘normal’ will resume, or what that even looks like. With so much upheaval and uncertainty, it’s no wonder people are feeling stressed, overwhelmed and confused about the future. Minds can quickly ‘fill the gaps’ with catastrophic future scenarios.

During this webinar, we’ll aim to put a spotlight on wellbeing and resilience as it relates to us as orthopaedic surgeons and how and why it can be useful to us, particularly during these times.

We’ll share what we’ve learned over the past few weeks in ‘real time’ about our own resilience, and our ability to adapt to the ever changing landscape. We’ll shed some light on why your reactions and feelings are completely normal. We’ll also introduce you to some practical and helpful resources to increase your sense of wellbeing, giving you more ‘spare capacity’ to navigate any circumstance on a daily basis with more calm, clarity and common sense.
