Professor Michael Millis is a world-renowned paediatric orthopaedic surgeon with a specialist interest in hip preservation for over four decades. He was the founder of the hip preservation program at Boston Childrens Hospital after spending time with Prof Heinz Wagner in Germany as part of an AO fellowship in his early career and has pioneered innovative techniques in North America. He has been a driving force in research and education as a Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at Harvard Medical School and has been recognised by EPOS, receiving the Pro Maximis Meritis Award from EPOS 2017, by POSNA as the Presidential Guest Speaker in 2018 and by the Bern Hip Symposium as the Guest of Honour in 2020.
