Drew Thomas Sanders, M.D., M.P.H., is an Assistant Professor at UT Southwestern Medical Center in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery. He specializes in trauma surgery  to repair ankle and knee injuries; geriatric fractures of the hip, wrist, and shoulder; and fractures around joint replacements.

 

At Tulane University, Dr. Sanders received his medical degree and his master's degree in public health. He did his orthopaedic surgery residency at UT Southwestern and completed etrauma surgery training by fellowships at the Florida Orthopaedic Institute and the University Hospital of Norfolk and Norwich in the United Kingdom.

 

He is an American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery Diplomate and a member of the Texas Orthopaedic Association, the Association of Orthopaedic Trauma, and the International Geriatric Fracture Society. He is also the residency program director for UT Southwestern Medical Center Orthopaedic Surgery.
